It wasn’t just a hunch that made me ask a couple purchasing bikes, “Are you in fashion?”. Their crisp & classy style, their newly purchased (keenly spotted) Pashley bicycles, and fine taste prompted me to ask and then to uncover Joe Mimran & Kim Newport-Mimran, a.k.a. Joe Fresh and Pink Tartan respectively.
Not only were they charming people, they graciously let me take some snaps of them on their rides. Joe’s white shirt and shoes look perfect in the heat, with all the right subtly fantastic touches of belt, sunglasses and watch.
Kim is wearing one of the Yakkay helmets (with interchangeable hat-like covers) and to my glee, let me photograph her gorgeous Céline bag, nestled happily in her wicker Pashley Basket. Ecstasy on wheels.
When I told Mikey about the Céline bag he lost his mind a little. Their last season was amazing, and this could easily be the “it” bag of the season.
So to recap: the “it” bag of the season walked demurely into my store accompanied by two charming, friendly, impeccably dressed fashion designers who rode it away on two of the most beautiful bicycles in existence.
Isn’t Toronto awesome?

The Annex is becoming a hot spot for good looking people on bikes (and I suspect that Curbside is playing a role in this)! Head a little north of Bloor to Barton and the flow of great looking people on city bikes never ends. Great smiles on these two for sure!
