CYCLE STAR

Check out Gillian and thecommonelite in the Toronto Star !

It’s great to be a part of the realization that you don’t need to become a different person to ride a bicycle, and that the supposed wardrobe of a cyclist does not have to include technicolour spandex.Visit any cycling-friendly European city and you will see this truth:

Cycling is for all, not merely for athletes.

Although, I suppose I should make myself perfectly clear: we common-elitists do not have an anti-spandex agenda per se. Spandex is merely an icon for the mentality that if you aren’t wearing this prescribed wardrobe, you aren’t really a cyclist.

Wear what you want! And remember, send us your photos! We’d love to see your cycle-style.
