Fall 2011 might be ages away, but with men’s fashion week just finishing up, I thought I’d post some of my favorites for the season. Click images for larger views.
This is exactly how I want to dress. The whole collection comes off as a form of minimalist blocking that revels in classic menswear neutrals, which ultimately showcases the perfect proportion Marni displayed. Yes, I love that shorter pant matched with boots and a long wool coat, I will wear them all into the ground. And who wouldn’t love dressing like they stole grandpa’s 1940s style staples and altered them just enough to give them youth again.
For real, that wool camel coat with leather sleeves is my dream coat, perfectly amazing not-in technicolour.
The patterned knit blazers, the warm plaids, the desert boots. This show was a tutorial on how to be a 21st century dandy. If they’re giving lessons, I’m taking notes.
More relaxed and playful proportions, definitely means more to love with Henrik. Great play on patterns in this collection too.
Umit took wallstreet to the weekend and gave us dress clothes that are far from stuffy even though they’re buttoned, cinched and fit to be tailored.
