The Common Elite is for those who experience the city directly through cycling, but who would never question their sartorial choices simply because they ride a bike. It archives the intersection of cycling with STREETSTYLE, FASHION and DESIGN.
At the fore of any socially relevant phenomenon, you will find creative and compelling people. We started TheCommonElite to document not only the City Cycling movement, but the amazing individuals that simply choose to ride with style.
We believe that this new breed of urban cyclist can further inspire us to participate in the commons of the city, by engaging in it’s physical landscape while never sacrificing any facet of ourselves.
These photos remind us that we don’t need to be homogenous gore-tex clad road warriors to experience the liberation and freedom inherent in cycling.
We are not elitist; we are The Common Elite.
